On the software side, the focus will be on watchOS, which is expected to receive a major update with a revamped interface. However, there are no major updates expected for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS. The company is also reportedly working on allowing sideloading on iOS to comply with upcoming EU legislation.

The star of the event is expected to be the new mixed reality headset, called the Reality Pro, which will run on a new operating system called xrOS. The headset is expected to offer a mix of augmented and virtual reality and will come with advanced features such as hand and eye-tracking, support for digital avatars in FaceTime calls, and a digital crown for switching between AR and VR. However, it is expected to be expensive, around $3,000, and offer only two hours of battery life via a tethered battery pack.

Overall, WWDC 2023 could be one of Apple's biggest product launch events, with new hardware and software updates expected to be announced.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has provided some insights on the potential Mac releases at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. Although Gurman did not specify which macOS-based computers Apple might announce, he did mention that the tech giant has plans to release approximately six devices either this year or by early 2024. This includes a new 15-inch MacBook Air, an updated 13-inch MacBook Air, a high-end MacBook Pro, and a 13-inch MacBook Pro. Additionally, Apple has yet to release an Apple Silicon-based version of its Mac Pro, its last Intel-powered device, and may also refresh its 24-inch iMac.

Mark Gurman's recent overview of Apple's upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) indicates that the company plans to release several new macOS-powered devices over the next year or so, with some potentially being announced at the event in June. Although the specifics of which devices will be announced are not confirmed, Gurman lists at least half a dozen, including an all-new 15-inch MacBook Air, an updated 13-inch MacBook Air, and new 13-inch and high-end MacBook Pros.
